web, type, & chalk design
While working at Whole Foods Market's Marketing Department, I was able to experiment with various mediums that I hadn't explored before.
The first month, it was clear that with an additional artist to the team, there needed to be a better system in place for requesting and organizing signage. Based on previously used paper forms and signs, I created an online system that allowed teams to quickly and easily request marketing materials electronically. I then connected this website to forms and spreadsheets, allowing the entire marketing team (as well as other team members) complete transparency and the ability to organize jobs amongst us all.
Following that, I implemented a new social media strategy involving motivational quotes and artistic imagery. This was not only a way to engage the customers in a new way, but also a way to allow myself to continue experimenting and expanding different design skills.
Additionally, I designed and created various chalk pieces for advertising and aesthetic throughout the store. This was a completely new medium for me, and working in such a new tactile way was a pleasant change in pace from the web and print design I was used to.
Lastly, back in the line of design I'm most familiar with, I helped with digital marketing and design solutions. I helped refresh the brand of the store to feel more fresh, upbeat, and happy, with the feel of the community in mind. I also worked on various event and promotional signage, most extensively for the store remodel. I was given full run of the remodel gala design, and was able to work on everything from the toolkit, to giveaway items, social media, to posters.
web, packaging, & product design
At Kitsch, I was the sole graphic designer responsible for a wide variety of creative projects.
I created and wrote copy for all email campaigns and web banners, in addition to updating interactive site pages and the homepage. I was responsible for the majority of product photography while working there, as well as photography for creative assets, and I assisted on several social model photoshoots. I created new packaging designs for new product, and assisted with updated older packaging designs and specs. I also was responsible for several product designs, such as tattoos and patches.
web, print, branding, & social design
At Stella & Dot, I came in to help with implementing their brand refresh. As their contract designer, I worked with the Creative Director to create a typographical system, and applied it to business cards, postcards, posters, inserts, and other various print pieces for Stylists to use. I worked consistently on email and web campaigns for Stylists and customers, as well as creating social tools for Stylists. I also created secondary logos and branding systems for multiple events and tours.
